I, too, have a giant soft spot for Lufthansa as they were the airline on which I flew for my first international flight, and they were wonderful. I agree that this blatant grossness is especially bewildering in light of their history of actually facing their historical shame, and I, too, am waiting for something so much better than I have seen.

I quietly committed to never flying United again, EVER, and I would really hate to have to add Lufthansa.
