BUT, I realize that “whys” aren’t apologies; many times “I was drunk” (which, clearly, c’mon…) or its equivalent is a reason given, but a reason is not an excuse, and an excuse is certainly not an apology. So, we’re honestly better off not knowing why but still – scratching my head and just… wondering what his problem might be. But, probably better off not knowing/caring.
