Good call, straight white man — stay on the sidelines for this one. Autostraddle is not talking to you; you are not the demo. Take heart, though, when it comes to mockery of queer and minority women’s humorlessness, the rest of the media is HERE FOR IT!

(Seriously. The crazy people will attack anyway. I loved that this apology had a ton of humor and self-awareness — YES IT *IS* ABOUT PARSING TACO SYMBOLOGY– baked in.)

Gawd, I appreciate the earnestness, the sincere desire to get things right, but this is so overdone and feels like fodder for the crazy people to attack (liberals have no sense of humor, are reverse-fascists, blah blah etc weirdness….)

The apology/explanation piece is platinum-and-diamond studded pure gold, just for that sentence alone. Can we NOT rely on the people in the …um, taco-symbolic community to make all things clear on the Okayness scale for everyone? Please?
