Crikey! I never even got to the 2008 apology part of his rambling, his justifications and pre-amble (pre-ramble?) took so long, I turned it off before he got around to actually apologizing! I assume he did eventually though, because you said he did.

Yeah, the problem is Chris Matthews knows his heart is pure and he can’t believe there is anyone who doesn’t appreciate his pureness of heart and could possibly “misunderstand” him . He also mistakes himself for a first class intellect. I keep hoping he’ll go the way of the similarly self-involved Pat Buchanan but NBC seems to love him.

I was fairly impressed with the apology when I saw it on the air yesterday, but maybe that’s because anything even remotely approaching a sincere apology is so hard to find in politics and media these days.

BTW, I’m thrilled that this blog exists! You two are the perfect people to be doing it!
