I am just glad he doesn’t have to get a job yet — even people who are exonerated still have a “record,” thus have trouble finding work until that record can be expunged.

Ugh. Apologies ARE vital, I believe that, but changing the law so that only some people serve four years for shoplifting… that would be good, too.
