I got news for you! DC is NOT a State. New Mexico, for better or worse IS A STATE!!
It gets overshadowed by Texas, In fact the El Paso suburbs spill over the state line just like an eastern state. They are also Out Sleazed by Nevada, and Out-Nut- Cased by Arizona, and really can’t compete on beaches with California, but overall it’s not a bad place to live
