Sticking with Oak for a bit longer seems likely to paid big dividends for everyone.

The screechingly heavyhanded non-sequitur of “deeply invested in the success of actors of color” is more in keeping with the tip-toeing around Issues of Race (never acknowledged as racism) one expects. Not knowing that forcing a black man out of a role he is well-suited for and wildly successful at in favor of a very big, splashy white male name would result in Bad Optics is both understatement and, at a bare minimum, a prevarication without much purpose besides intentionally, ruthlessly missing the point like the future of Malloy’s career depends on it. Weird how corporate apologiaspeak worms its way into the mouths of people who make a living with pretty speech and song.
