In addition to violating her right not to incriminate herself, which I guess is covered by “she already was convicted”, this feels like a first amendment issue to me. “You will speak in this proscribed manner, and say this particular thing as a condition of your sentence.” Kind of ridiculous.

That’s not an apology. It’s a form letter, even in it’s final format. She’s NOT sorry and she will learn no lessons in this. Typical of some judges in our country looking over their half-glasses and down their noses at the “riff-raff” that appears before them, when they themselves are guilty of felony offense. And while we are on the word felony…Martha Stewart gets convicted of getting a tip from her stockbroker and goes to prison for six months in a federal penitentiary, and six months house arrest. THIS is a Supreme Court Judge of the State of Pennsylvania and she gets only house arrest. She needed to do time and make panchos at Camp Cupcake as well.
