Lerner has two options. She can change or she can expect her husband to change. I think the more practical approach is that she should *learn to make banana bread*. It makes a wonderful gift even if she doesn’t want to eat it herself.

Reading Kim’s story I had the exact same “Oh, so you end the marriage when he cheats on you but not when he abuses your daughter?” reaction. I am glad that story had a better ending.

Oh, wow, acknowledgements! Kewl!

But, boy, I would’ve been PISSED if I were Kim, too. I might have set something on fire. That seems… problematic. Yet, I’m also a huge proponent of couples and families being able to forgive and move on… apparently only in theory.

This is really thought-provoking. Now I want to read this book. *adds to staggering TBR pile*
