Often the apologetic situations that SorryWatch highlights are depressing. Spot-on as the SW analysis is, I'm never confident that the apologis/a-hole t in question has/will learn a damned thing. This post, however, has me feeling a bit hopeful? Is that the right name for this feeling? It's been so long...)

These dudes worked it out eventually, once the tech bros let go of their "it's not fair (for us) entitlement."They didn't even need their big daddy companies to intervene (that intervention was worthless anyway, as is most pr-centric statements.) So that made me feel good. Thanks, SorryWatch!

As for Parks & Rec, I just assume all Parks & Recs are floundering and unable to handle most situations due to under-staffing, lack of funds, and neglect. I mean, $27 as a fee. And I bet there's a too-complicated, try to be fair formula that was used to get to that number. It's not that $27 is or isn't much money. It's just a further reflection of how city parks are in a constant state of good-willed befuddlement. Getting mad about that is like being pissed at a 3-legged dog who's wandered onto the field.

Man, I wish I was that awesomely immovable and articulate when I was young. (Or, heck, even now.) I'm pretty sure I would have curled up and said, "Tech Guys? Guess I'll go home."
